Meredith K. Maitrejean joined Farris, Riley & Pitt, LLP in 2016 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama.
Meredith was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Birmingham. She is a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Information Sciences from the University of Alabama in 2012. While at Alabama, Meredith was active in her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha.
She received her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law (“Ole Miss”) in 2015. While at Ole Miss, Meredith served as a legal intern for Judge Robert Q. Whitwell, a current Chancellor for the 18th District Chancery Court in Mississippi and a former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi. Meredith also clerked for the Alabama Law Institute in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Meredith served as President of the Law Association for Women and as the Secretary for the St. Thomas More Catholic Legal Society. She was also a member of the Executive Board of the Law School Student Body, the law school’s student government organization. Meredith also assisted clients as a legal intern for the North Mississippi Rural Legal Services in Oxford, Mississippi and participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
When she’s not practicing, Meredith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, trying new recipes and restaurants, and exploring Birmingham.
Meredith was named to Birmingham Magazine’s 2018 Top Attorney list and to B-Metro Magazine’s 2018 Top Women Attorneys list. She is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Alabama Association for Justice. Meredith is also a member of the Junior League of Birmingham and Rotaract Club of Birmingham.
