Johnny Baxley is an attorney at Farris Riley Injury Law who comes from a multi-generational family of lawyers — fighting for people who’ve been wronged isn’t just a career choice for Johnny, it’s something he grew up around. He believes that when someone is hurt because of another’s actions, they deserve to be heard, and they deserve someone willing to stand up for them.
That belief is at the heart of why Johnny became a lawyer. Growing up around the legal profession gave him an early appreciation for the role lawyers can play in helping others and obtaining justice. But it was his experience working in personal injury law specifically that gave that calling a clear direction.
Johnny saw firsthand how difficult it can be for ordinary people to demand accountability from insurance companies, corporations, and other powerful interests. An injured person may be dealing with medical bills, lost income, uncertainty about the future, and the disruption of their everyday life, all while facing an opponent with vastly greater resources. Johnny found that imbalance deeply frustrating — and decided he wanted to do something about it.
He now represents injured individuals and families with a straightforward philosophy: listen to people, understand what they are going through, and work tirelessly to make sure their interests are taken seriously. He brings empathy to his relationships with clients, courage to difficult cases, and a willingness to put in the work necessary to pursue justice.
Johnny earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. While in law school, he gained practical experience at several different personal injury firms, seeing firsthand the power imbalance between injured individuals and the corporations responsible for their injuries — experience that sharpened his commitment to leveling that playing field for his own clients today.
Outside of the office, Johnny enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and following Alabama football and the New Orleans Saints.
