I think to determine whether your lawyer has your best interests at heart, you have to have some experience with your lawyer. You have to go to your lawyer’s firm. You have to talk to him or her in person, face to face. Talk to the staff. Look around. Find out what kind of cases they’ve handled. Find out if they’ve actually litigated a case like yours. And those are all the things that you can sort of put together [to make] a picture of who’s representing you and whether they’re the type of law firm that’s going to have your best interests at heart.

How Much is My Case Worth?

This is an extremely difficult question to answer. The value of a case is based on a wide range of criteria including:

The extent of your injuries
Your inability to work / loss of earnings capacity
Your age
Past medical bills
Future medical bills
Pain and Suffering
Whether injuries are temporary or permanent

How Do I Know if I Have a Case?

To have a personal injury case, you must have suffered an injury, and that injury had to be at least partially the fault of another. The injury can be physical or non-physical depending upon the case and the basis of the lawsuit.
