What is medical malpractice?
Video Transcript
Medical malpractice occurs when there’s some negligence on the part of a healthcare provider, and that negligence causes some harm or injury to the patient. A health provider is negligent when his or her conduct is outside of what the standard of care requires for similar providers in the area. These cases tend to be time consuming and they tend to be complicated, so it’s important to remember that the two year statute of limitations applies in medical malpractice cases. So, as soon as you think you may have a claim, it is very important to consult with a lawyer immediately.
