Nathan “Nate” VanDerVeer was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his B.A., Political Science, from Auburn University in 2003 and his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007, where he was active on the trial team, President of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association (Student Division) and twice awarded the Roy Noble Lee Scholarship (2006 and 2007) for outstanding service to the community. While in law school, Nate also founded and coached Mississippi’s first high school lacrosse club at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Mississippi, which is still thriving today.
Currently, Nate’s law practice focuses on drug and device litigation, general products liability, personal injury and wrongful death. Nate was recently selected as one of a handful of attorneys throughout the nation to lead the Bard IVC Filters Multi-District Litigation (Arizona) and the Cordis IVC Filters consolidation litigation (California). Nate has tried more than a dozen cases in Alabama and Mississippi, achieving several large verdicts for his clients.
When he’s not practicing law, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and two daughters, Anne Bridges and Molly, as well as any outdoor activities.
